winSCP 6.5 running much longer than 6.3.7

version 6.5 has the problem, before it was 6.3.7
running on windows11 laptop
using SFTP in Commander mode
I connected to a server using SFTP to list a large directory (approx 245000 files). With 6.3.7 it takes under 4 minutes. With 6.5 it took 2 hours.
