I get the following message:

open ftp://anonymous:***@ftp.sosx.noaa.gov/

When I use the following command:

open ftp://anonymous:sospublic@ftp.sosx.noaa.gov -rawsettings SendBuf=262144 Compress=on passive=on option transfer binary -sessionname="SOS Explorer® Real-time Dataset Synchronizer"

This only happens with the -sessionname parameter. If I remove it, I stop getting the message, but the message doesn't seem to be related to the sessionname parameter.

Any ideas?
