Cannot disable WinSCP auto updates - causes VBA error
We are running a SFTP file transfer automatically every night via an MS Access database/VBA. This requires WinSCPnet.dll to be saved in C:\Windows\System32 and/or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and both to be registered with RegAsm.
Each time WinSCP auto updates, there is a new version of WinSCPnet.dll saved in C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSCP. This throws an error: “Error in uploading file.csv: The version of C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSCP\winscp.exe (5.21.5.0) does not match version of this assembly C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WinSCPnet.DLL (5.21.3.0)”
In the WinSCP interface I have set auto updates to Never but this doesn't seem to prevent them. They cause the file uploads to fail and this is causing problems.
Is there some other way to stop these auto updates?
