I'm running into this same issue! This never happened before, but I believe it started recently with an update I took this year - I don't take every update so it's somewhat difficult to track, but I'm pretty sure it was with an update that was released in the past month or two. Then I think there was one more subsequent bugfix release, but ever since those last two releases, I've had issues where winscp will just be kinda frozen - menus will open, but they don't do anything. I can't exit out and I have to force quit with the task manager.

This happens every morning and it's pretty annoying. I thought it only happened when I suspended or hibernated, but last night I didn't turn off my computer and this morning it was frozen again.

Please let me know what information I can provide (logs?) to help debug this issue.

Thanks!
Mike

I meat the same problem.

my winscp is v5.15.3(build 9730).
I open 3 tables. If the link of one table is down, and I click this table, the whole program is frozen.
After serval seconds, it shows the link is loss.

I can accept one table is frozen. but the whole program is frozen is a bad thing.

Hope this can fix.

What "table" do you mean? How do you "click this table"?

Freezing application issue

Hi,
I've experienced described issue since starting using WinSCP (v5.15.x). Usually I use VPN to access my servers

As I see, application freezes after losing connection to the used server (it doesn't matter because of server was unavailable or internet connection was interrupted). After freezing all elements can be displayed as selected when hovering by mouse, but nothing happens on click. Also the app/session cannot be closed without killing the process
