Action double click, also for pressing enter

I select "Edit" as default action for double-click in the Preferences. When I select multiple files, I also want to edit them, but when I press enter, it opens only one.

Could this option/preference be extended to the Enter key or can an extra option be added?

Why cannot you just press F4?
