WinSCP not showing Webdav Subfolders Folders

Hi All,
I'm working on a WebDav server that is built using ITHit's webdav library. Files and folders are listed through Windows and through Finder but not through WinSCP. Are there any special limitations with WinSCP? What do I need to do to investigate this issue?

Re: WinSCP not showing Webdav Subfolders Folders

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

I have this problem also in Windows 10 with the Commander interface and latest WinSCP version. I have a locally mapped Webdav drive that is selected in the left window. In Windows 7 this Webdav folder worked fine with WinSCP. But I recently switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10, so I don't know if this is just because I updated WinSCP when switching to Windows 10, or if it was the OS switch that caused it. I guess the OS, because I think I updated WinSCP regularly also in Win 7, and the problem never happened in Windows 7.

The Webdav folder works fine in Windows Explorer.

WinSCP can show the contents of the root folder in the webdav drive. But when double-clicking a subfolder nothing happens (and nothing is logged in the log file). When enabling Tree view, I can traverse subfolders. But the content of the subfolders is not shown in the Commander interface. When trying to drag and drop files from a remote server (e.g. an SFTP server) to a subfolder in the the local Webdav drive, there is an error (copied from log file):

. 2017-11-02 14:00:39.657 Looking for network events
. 2017-11-02 14:00:39.657 Timeout waiting for network events
* 2017-11-02 14:00:39.963 (ExtException) **WinSCP was not able to detect folder, where the dragged file(s) was dropped.** Either you have not dropped the file(s) to regular folder (e.g. Windows Explorer) or you have not restarted your computer yet after installation to load drag&drop shell extension.
* 2017-11-02 14:00:39.963
* 2017-11-02 14:00:39.963 Alternatively you can switch to compatible drag&drop mode (from Preferences window), which uses temporary folder for downloads. It allows you to drop files to any destination.

Selecting Download from the remote server to the local Webdav works fine and files are downloaded correctly to the correct subfolder (this is verified with Windows Explorer, because it is not shown in the WinSCP interface). Synchronizing also works fine (verified with Windows Explorer). Traversing folder structure works fine in Tree view.

Nothing else is logged except the above (Debug 2 selected).

So it looks like it is only the Commander interface that cannot deal with Webdav folder contents.

Thanks for your report.
I have sent you an email with a debug version of WinSCP to the address you have used to register on this forum.
