Open connection problem

I'm working on automating my FTP process. The problem I'm having is that the password for the FTP site contains a @ symbol, example: test@123. As you know you are supposed to use this symbol to specify the url for the FTP site after the password. Is there any work around for this or do I need to contact the hosting company and have the password changed?

You have to URL-encode the @ to %40
