I used <Alt-Up> 4 or 5 times in rapid succession in the remote panel (an AIX server).
(I do not think this brought me to the root, or to a directory I was not allowed to read.)

I had been in the Preferences dialogue immediately beforehand.
(I was looking for a possibility to see failed transfers,
as I had several failures (0 byte files) due to a full file system that Win SCP * DID * NOT * REPORT *!.)

I have created directory on server and then clicked enter before its being created, that time focus was on some other folder, when I clicked enter. I suppose it should be since WinSCP takes focus to newly created folder but it shouldn't be there since it opened the folder which was having focus.

In my case, the cause may have been a repeated click to the "refresh" icon (equivalent to pressing F5). I admit I may have pressed it before the previous refresh could complete.

I clicked on the side of the app so that I can switch folders and I tapped the down button on my keyboard. This didn't lead to the folder I wanted to see so I passed it some more times. Made the app crash.
