PLEASE bring back ability to log in from the Proxy page.

Our implementation of WinSCP uses a proxy server with password composed of a fixed half plus an RSA SecureID token. With the previous version, I could select the stored session, click on Proxy, append the SecureID code to the saved fixed half, and Login.

With version 5.5, I have to Edit the session, click on Advanced, click on Proxy, re-enter the entire password, including the RSA code, click OK to go back to the main screen, click Save (which now saves the temporary token as the password -- something I DON'T wand to do), and finally Login. Aside from the greatly increased number of operations, with codes that rotate every 30 seconds, it's actually difficult to perform all of the steps before the code rolls over. If login is done after the code has expired, we are locked out of the account...

In other words, version 5.5 has REALLY complicated a very basic operation for an implementation like ours. Please bring back the ability to log in directly from the Proxy page as was possible in the previous version.

Thank you.

Why do you have to "re-enter the entire password"? Is it because it already includes the RSA SecureID token from previous attempt?

I think you are looking for Clone to a New Site command (available in saved site context menu). It's similar to what you were used to with old version of WinSCP.

Yes, I have to re-enter the entire password because Saving the session saves the RSA SecureID token on the Proxy form from the previous attempt.

Cloning to a New Site does indeed save a couple of steps compared to editing a saved session. And it does allow saving only the fixed portion of the password which is very helpful. Thank you -- it is a large improvement compared to what I was doing. However, it is still quite a few more steps than was required previously. It is frustrating when new versions of software make every-day things more difficult to do.
