Can we use this .NET assembly with WinSCP version 4.3.4

Currently we are using WinScp version 4.3.4.We implemented this version 2 yrs back.At that time WinSCp version 4.3.4 was the latest one.For implementing SFTP solution we used shell command approach.We used commands like get,put rm.
Just few days back we came to know that we can use Winscp's .NET library (i.e. Winscp.dll).Sample code given on Winscp site works good at our test environment.We want to implement .NET library approach for doing SFTP.So now my question is Can we use this .NET library (i.e.Winscp.dll)with WinSCP4.3.4.
I know there is newer versions of Winscp(5.1.7) is available and its free of cost.So there would not be any extra cost for up-gradation.But for any S/w up-gradation our company has lengthy process of approvals and I don't want to go by that way.Hence I asked this question.
