sloooow establishing connection
I can easily beat WinSCP establishing connection. If I use putty and do "pwd; ls -l", I seem to get all the information to populate the remote directory view in just 10-15 seconds. Even a slow typer like myself can beat WinSCP by at least 30 seconds over a 56k modem connection. Yeap, it takes about 40-50 seconds for WinSCP to establish connection over the modem. What takes you so long???
On a related note, why wait for the connection to establish before poping up the window? Theoretically, shouldn't you save time if you open all the windows after sending the requests over the network and before getting the response?
