Creating Links and Shortcuts
You can create symbolic and hard links (not all protocols allows this). In Norton Commander interface you can also create local shortcuts.
To create new link/shortcut make sure that no link/shortcut is selected in file panel and go to File(s) > Add/Edit Link. Add link/shortcut dialog will appear. Selected file will become initial target of the link/shortcut. You can of course change it to whatever you want.

To change target of existing link/shortcut, select it in file panel (links/shortcuts have arrow overlay icon) and go to File(s) > Add/Edit Link. Edit link/shortcut dialog will appear. You cannot edit remote hard links. You will not be able to edit even remote symbolic links if session option Resolve symbolic links is disabled.
There are to options how to display target of existing symbolic link. The target is displayed either on Properties dialog or in optional Link target column in file panel.
