Indeed, this is something you should ask at their support.
Just make sure you are using the right protocol. Note that WinSCP defaults to SFTP. Maybe you need to use FTP.

I've tried looking through the forum for help but I’ve been unable to sort out my issue.
I've purchased a domain from IONOS and have been told I can use WinSCP to publish to my website.
I'm a first timer at all this and am so confused.
When I open WinSCP and try to login/connect it just keeps saying ‘Access denied’
I've contacted IONOS too and am waiting for a reply but in the meantime if anybody could possibly help?
