So did you install 5.17.8 using the installer? Or did you do it manually somehow? Did you try reinstalling it?

Wrong Version Number in German Translation

Recent Version of WinSCP is 5.17.8
Placing the German Translation File does not result in switching to German Language as usual.
Choosing German Translation in options causes an ERROR Message indicating the translation file to be for Version 5.15.
