I have added an answer to FAQ.

I think templates for highlighting code would be better than pre-defined colors. Even if i could use a external editor I would prefer a new option fpr that because I use WinSCP on serveral PC's . The best way to manage this would be a option for connecting user-defined regular expressions with specific colors.

The editing feature of editing files on server is by far my favorite feature, though i would like a few adjustments

-tabs to edit multiple files, posibly have the tabs in the same tabing window as the main winscp window.
-customizeable colors, perhaps templates for php, html, perl coloring
-line numbers on the left side. this is REALY helpfull editing serverside scripts.
