I have asked for a copy of the winscp.com file (this is on a remote computer) and was told that the file was of zero bytes! Not sure what is happening there, because to the best of my knowledge the installation was properly done.

It would seem that something may have gone wrong with the installation of winscp.com, which I know, is very strange and unusual. Unfortunately, I cannot give you more details, but I have heard that the installation worked fine on another computer and I know it works, as I have tried it myself. When renaming winscp.com to winscpcom.exe I get the same error message!

Yes! Winscp.exe does work perfectly!
Have not tried the renaming of winscp.com to winscp.com.exe yet, as that computer isn't next to me right now.

Have downloaded it a number of times and it does not seem to work on that one computer running Windows Home version. It does however work perfectly on a number of Windows Pro version computers. I am really puzzled by this.

I do understand that WinSCP.com would be an old DOS 16 bit program.
Could this mean that in order to run it might have to have the Windows NTVDM feature enabled in order to be able to run in a Windows 10 Home (32 bit) environment?

Hello,

I have been running WinSCP.com on Windows 10 Pro without any issues.
Have tried running it on Windows Home and I get the following Windows error:

"This app can’t run on your PC
To find a version for your PC check with check with the software publisher".

Is WinSCP.com supposed to work on the Windows Home version?

Would appreciate your assistance.
