That's the place, where Explorer has the "go to" menu. And providing you seem to use Explorer-like interface... :-)

Personally, I still think the most intuitiave interface is to allow typing a path directly into the address bar.

Definitelly, if I only knew how to do that... :-)

However, it is in a very strange place. "View" is not a menu I'd expect to see a navigation command in. It certainly doesn't help that it's under the submenu "goto".

The entire "goto" menu would be better under the "Commands" or "File" menu. It would be handy to have an "Open Directory" directory on the toolbar, or even the whole "Goto" as an optional toolbar.

Personally, I still think the most intuitiave interface is to allow typing a path directly into the address bar.

Anyways, thanks for the help, and great job on WinSCP, it's definately become one of my most-often used apps in the past few months.

Manual path entry

The address bar should be a combo dropdown/textbox, that allows manual typing of the path. Optimally it would have auto-complete as you type, but that's not totally necessary. It's a pain having to navigate from root through 10 folders by clicking on each one, it's so much faster to just type it.
