Sorry, I do not understand. WinSCP does NOT download any files, when you navigate to a remote directory.

Server directory show file list, but don't download all first

In some of our server directories we may have tens of thousands of archived files, and every time we point to those directories, it takes time to refresh the file list, because WinSCP always download all files to local driver first.

Is it possible to just refresh the file list, like showing the result from a 'dir' command or 'ls -l' command, but without download them first? This way the session can be refreshed instantly, instead of taking a few minutes.
