Re: Remote host to remote host copy

FTP is not desirable for security reasons but I realize my choices are limited. Thanks for the info on FXP. I'll look into it.

Re: Remote host to remote host copy

You have not answered my question. I just wonder, if FTP is acceptable for you. There are some FTP clients allowing host to host transfers (its called FXP).

Re: Remote host to remote host copy

Currently, users are using Samba and Windows Explorer to drag and drop. There is an impending data center move which will change LAN speed to WAN speed. Thus, I need to eliminate the data trip to the PC and back to the other host.

Please read F.A.Q.

If not, does anyone know of a GUI that will allow me to do this?

What protocol?

Remote host to remote host copy

I have a need for a GUI client (WinSCP?) which enables host to host transfers wherein the data being transfered does not need to travel from host to PC back to host. Can this be done with WinSCP? If not, does anyone know of a GUI that will allow me to do this?

Thanks.
