Ok, selection is definitely not that useful.

I could see sorting being useful on top of the filter, but how could selection be useful?

This would have to be saved as part of a workspace. Probably together with other panel state (like sorting, selection, etc).

It would be great if WinSCP could remember the last filter used for the remote session (or be able to set it in the advanced settings), so when connecting only the files wanted would show up again.

For example, I connect to a server that hosts files for multiple organisations, but all files have an organisation code at the end of them to distinguish the files. I have just started using the filter command to see only the files for my organisation, but I need to set this each time i login. Would be great if this could be remembered. It wouldn't have to be on by default as many people might not want that, but to have it as an option would be great.
