The above post is one year old! UNC path support is one of the options in current user poll, you may add a vote :-)

Dear Martin,
I'm here because I even tried to copy files from my webserver to my local intranet server, which is part of my local network. And I was very surprised that WinSCP doesn't support UNC paths. I'm even more surprised, when I read that you didn't plan to support this. It's a great pity in my opinion.

Hi,

This is a great product. The only thing that I think is missing is the ability to transfer files from a network drive and/or your desktop.

If you add the ability to access the Network Neighbourhood and the Desktop to the list of available drives, this would be great!
