Session organizing is very usefull feature. I would love it, cause im getting old while scrolling endless list of servers :wink:

I manage a heck of a lot of machines and without a tree / folder or some kind of logical grouping its become a bit of a nightmare.

Yes to folders!

Take a look at SecureCRT for a good example on managing sessions.

You can create folders, drag entries between folders, copy an existing session (very nice for many sessions that only have slight differences such as IP address or user).

But would it be possible to create this "shell folder" with multiple stored sessions inside so that if I drop a file on the "folder" it would open multiple sessions and distribute files to all endpoints simultaneously, instead of having to drag and drop for each of the shell icons. Sorry, I've missed the plural :-) It should not be difficult to achive that using scripting.

It is very useful to have any possibility to organize sessions into the subfolders, groups etc. in the case of many saved sessions.

It'd be good to store the sessions as suggested in a folder (default in the winscp directory?). Alternatively in an .ini file, so they can be easily copied to another PC. Copying them from registry is a pain!

the topic is about something different. It was asked to allow organizing sessions in folder, but visually (on login dialog), not physically on disk. You can already store them to an INI file.

I want to be the one to second this request. I have about 50 sessions stored from 5 or 6 different environments. Currently, I preface the server name with the environment name, like "qa: ecomapp01." It would be nice to have folders.
