Sync mode makes the app freezes every 5 seconds, making it unusable

I've had this problem ever since installing WinSCP. As soon as I activate the sync mode, the app constantly freezes every 5 seconds, popping up windows alert saying the app is unresponsive and asking if I want to restart it. Then WinSCP unfreezes, and re-freeze a second later. It's been like that every single day, forever. I don't have any issues with Filezilla, but I'd rather use WinSCP "keep remote directory up to date" mode.

I have a pretty good computer so it's surprising the app is super slow.

128GB RAM DDR5
GTX 5080
Samsung 990 2TB NVME
1.5 GBps internet

I recorded a video but I'd rather not post it publicly because it shows our servers IPs. How can I send it to support privately?
