It looks like you haven't even connected.
Normally, WinSCP starts with a Login dialog. I guess, you must have disabled it, otherwise you would not be asking (or I do not understand you).
To open connection from the main window, see:

To reenable Login dialog popup, see Show Login dialog on startup and when the last session is closed :

SFTP pulling files for transfer from a remote server not local.
I'm sorry but I am new to this.
In the front end GUI, is there a way to pull files from a remote server? The front end shows just local folders to transfer from and I need to pull from a remote server. This also applies to the command line that is produced. I need to use the command line in another program to run WinSCP remotely.
