Re: Authentication error acces denied

I'm sorry, but it's not WinSCP's decision whether authentication is needed or not. It's the server's. You probably used to have the password stored in WinSCP stored site. Or you were using public key authentication.

Would this help?

Authentication error acces denied

My Windows machine was destroyed (hard drive failure) during a severe electrical storm. I am running WinSCP version 6.1.1. I run in the two panel. Left panel shows a folder on my PC that contains the files necessary for an application (self authored). The app runs on a Raspberry Pi located at 192.268.1.82. When I try and setup the right hand panel It wants me to authenticate to that site. I have been running WinSCP for a couple of years and am old (83). I can't remember the username and password for the host at 192.168.1.82. I don't remember it ever asking me to authenticate. Since both systems are on the same LAN And I don't allow any external access to my house and the LAN, there is no security issue. Is there any way I can tell WinSCP not to authenticate or someway of discovering the Username and Password it wants.
