I have requested that they at least support a test environment.
If the connection between the sites is sufficiently fast, it might do.
You might also consider splitting the files to parts and merge them at the destination.

I need to do a onetime upload of a very large file (about 8 GigaBytes). Both sender and receiver cannot agree on an alternative for FTP and cannot agree on a method to split up the file.
Question:
Is the transfer of such a large file possible with WinSCP?
