Excluding folder in synchronize command

Hello. I would like to make exclude for synchronizing node_modules folder.
Even after reading docs and other posts for 30 minutes I still can't get it why my code doesn't work properly. Here's the code: 
option batch abort
option confirm off
open sftp://root:password@***.***.**.*** -hostkey="ssh-rsa 2048 ************************"
synchronize -filemask="|node_modules" remote C:\Users\***\OneDrive\Desktop\bot /root/bot
exit
