Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. Attached please find the log. You can go to line 519 and line 615 to see the directory changing issue and the file transfer (from local to VMS) issue.

Re: Changing remote VMS directory issue/transferring file from local win11 computer to remote VMS issue

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Though note that in general, support for VMS is limited.

Changing remote VMS directory issue/transferring file from local win11 computer to remote VMS issue

I started to use WinSCP to transfer files between my Windows computer and remote. I encountered two issues:

  1. on the panel for remote VMS system, changing directories worked for some directories, but failed for some other directories.
  2. I can transfer file from remote VMS system to local PC, but failed to transfer file from local PC to remote VMS system.

Please refer to the attached document for error messages. I played with WinSCP settings for hours, but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nan
