I cannot read the file panel font. How can I make the panel font bigger?
The file panel font follows system-wide icon title font setting by default.
To customize the panel font you can do one of the following:
- Use custom font for the file panel.
- Change overall size of items for whole system:
- On Windows 11, go to Settings > System > Scale & layout and change settings in Scale.
- On Windows 10, go to Settings > System > Display and change settings in Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
- On Windows 8, go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display and change settings in Change the size of all items.
- On Windows 7, go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display and change settings in Make it easier to read what’s on your screen.
- Change size of the font for list views (file panel) only:
- On Windows 10 and 11, the option was removed.
- On Windows 8, go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Change only the text size; select “Icon” and change font-size.
- On Windows 7, go to Control Panel. In search box on top-right, type “metrics” and click Change windows colors and metrics in search results. On the dialog that appears, find Item drop-down menu and select “Icon”. Use Size drop-down menu next to Font to change font-size.

You should close WinSCP before making system-wide changes and restart it afterwards.
